Austin, Texas, as I have mentioned before, is one of my favorite cities to visit. This is my third visit here, but it is particularly special because this is the first time I visited the city for a vacation.

Barton Springs

Situated in Barton Creek on Zilker Park in Austin, Barton Springs is a good place to visit and enjoy nature. We were a bit disappointed that we did not see the key attraction of the area, Barton Springs Salamander, the endangered lungless salamander.

We walked beside the Barton Springs Pool, a public swimming pool. Maybe next time we will have more luck. Still, Barton Springs is not a bad place to take a walk on a warm evening.
