Visiting the Universal City Walk complex is another great place to spend an evening in the city of Angels. Within just three blocks, the area is studded with great eateries for dining, clothing, gaming, and collectible stores, not to mention palm trees and other attractions.

After a day’s work trip in LA, this would be a great place to wind down, explore, dine, and enjoy attractions. Luckily, there is no entrance fee for the walk, and it would be daylight robbery to charge any. Among the area’s attractions are an 18-screen multiplex theater, a dancing fountain, indoor skydiving, and a choice of dining options. The area is the brainchild of Jon Jerde, the designer of numerous attractions in Vegas such as the pirate show and facade of the Treasure Island Casino, and the Fremont Street Experience, as well as the Bellagio.

Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville

I dined at Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville, a Caribbean-themed restaurant with an indoor Tiki bar. I loved the decor. The spicy Chicken Jambalaya went well with the 5’O Clock Somewhere Cocktail.

This is a great place for an evening out when you are in the area.
