Studded with fine cuisine and bars, Downtown Campbell is a great place for a night out with friends or a romantic date in the Bay Area. One of my favorite haunts in the area is Vesper, a small artisan small plates and cocktail bar with chic decor.

The decor has a rustic appeal, with wooden floors blending with the artwork on its walls and its beautiful brass chandelier. The cocktail offerings of Vesper are among the best, prepared with passion by its bartenders. The service is excellent, and the waiters are professional, amiable, and cordial. I will also say that the cocktails are reasonably priced for the area. Vesper offers a choice of seating. The bar seats are comfortable if that is one’s preference. If you prefer a cozy seated area to chill with friends, the bar has sofas to accommodate your party. The table seating is decent too.

For those who prefer rum cocktails, I would recommend the ‘Dark N Stormy’, prepared with white rum, ginger beer, and a rum float. It is on the sweeter side. Patrons who prefer smoky cocktails should try the ‘Sleep Walker’, a cocktail with Mezcal, lime, and blue curaçao. My favorite is their version of the ‘Old Fashioned’, prepared with Elijah Craig.

There are plenty of American and Mexican entrees to choose from if you prefer to dine there. The bar also offers some fine appetizers.

Vesper is a great spot for a romantic night or a double date. Do pay this place a visit for a great evening. They are open from 4 PM to 9 PM Tuesdays through Thursdays and from 3 PM to 11 PM Fridays through Sundays and are off on Mondays.
