If you are in an adventurous mood to sample a variety of ales and happen to be in the South Bay area, Kelly Brewing Company (KBC) in Downtown Morgan Hill has you covered. This is a family-owned business that is open from noon to 10 PM, Tuesday through Saturday, and between noon to 9 PM on Sundays and Mondays. A favorite among locals, the brewery offers great beers in a nice setting.

This is a great establishment with a choice of ample indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor decor is alluring with artwork on walls and ceilings. There are also a few well-maintained pool tables. The staff is warm and friendly.

The Peach Star Galactic is a brew fermented with peaches and packs a sour punch with an ABV of 8.5%. Surprisingly, many non-beer drinkers like it. Those Cherries, fermented with cherries from a local farm, with an ABV of 8%, is also a great choice.

Pony Ride and Dr. Cashmere are great IPA offerings from KBC. We were there last night and enjoyed a great Halloween-themed evening. As it was a Tuesday, it was Trivia Night, again with a Halloween theme.

Most questions were on spooky music and horror movies. Eerily, as we walked in, the first question was “Name the Bay Area city known for the ghost of the Blue Lady.” What made this eerie was that we had been to that venue two weeks earlier.

As the restaurant does not offer food, patrons are allowed to bring in food from outside. A truck near the entrance served good Mexican dishes yesterday. If you are in the mood for something else, a short walk to Main Street will grant you access to a variety of fine restaurants. Do pay this place a visit if you are in the area.
