Just when I thought that my last day in this great city was going to be a quiet one, it turned out that I had time for some shopping. This is the end of the series, I promise!

But first, it was time for lunch.

RNR Biryani, Jayanagar

My cousin and I decided to try out RNR, a restaurant known for its Biryani (a spicy rice dish served with meat or vegetables). The place had good ambiance and even better food. Instead of plates, we ate from a large bowl with a plantain leaf placed in it. I ordered a country Chicken legs appetizer (Natikoli drumstick fry) and a boneless chicken biriyani as the main course. Both dishes were awesome; the chicken was moist and tender, and the biriyani was easily among the best that I had tried. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place.

Westside

It was time to get my family some small gift items. Many in the family recommended Westside for quick, practical everyday clothing like tops, jeans, and polos.

My cousin and I made it to Westside, a clothing retailer owned by TCS, the multinational conglomerate with its arms in a multitude of industries. I ended up buying some clothing for myself, as the selection was good in quality and offerings, and also affordable.

The end

I leave you with the image of Kempegowda, a chieftain who developed Bengaluru in the 16th century. His majestic statue guards Terminal 1 of the Kempegowda International Airport. I was lucky enough to get a 16-hour Air India flight back to San Francisco, which helped me make it home relatively quickly. Another milestone among my travels is now one for the books.
