The Ride to the Hotel

The ride from the airport to the hotel was a bit longer than expected, but maybe not, given Bengaluru’s reputation for traffic. Please forgive the quality of these snaps. I took these photos as the car passed them, and there was no time to pause for a good picture.

Construction in Bengaluru is an ongoing process, as high rises will keep appearing in the city’s landscape, stretching its boundaries. Notice the small temples that pop up between the apartment buildings in the first and third pictures.

Renaissance Bengaluru Race Course Hotel

When it comes to the hospitality industry, few countries can top India’s offerings. The deluge of 5-star hotels, with their well-oiled staff machinery, makes India one of the best tourist hotspots in the world. The Renaissance is one of the finest 5-star hotels Bengaluru has to offer. For most rooms, the hotel offers a complimentary buffet with an enviable assortment of dishes from Western to South Indian cuisine.

I reached the Renaissance Hotel around 9 AM. Here are pictures of its entrance and the lobby. The decor is a fusion of modern and antique. Here are some pictures of the hotel’s lobby.

My Room

My room in the 12th floor is one of the most unique and cozy rooms I have experienced.

This is the breathtaking view of the famous Bengaluru race course, from my room on the 12th floor.

The glass panel separating the bathroom and the bedroom exudes romantic passion.

In case one is not comfortable with the view, he or she may pull down the curtain to obscure it. The bed is a roomy king-size. This is turning out to be one great vacation.
