This week, I got to try a sandwich at yet another downtown sandwich shop, Boloco Inspired Burritos, on Federal Street.
I was impressed. Boloco is a nice and clean restaurant with a small
seating area.
I did not try their traditional burrito. Taking the advice of a friend, I tried the
Bangkok Chicken. It was delicious.
It was on the sweeter side, with its peanut sauce. It came in a wrap and with rice. Cucumbers in the rice added an extra crunch. I must say, I am impressed and will visit it again, soon.
Author’s Note:
This post appeared in my older blog on October 8th 2008. I have reblogged this post, as I have fond memories of this joint. John Pepper, The CEO and cofounder of this eatery, left the following comment on this post. Shortly after, he was kind enough to send my wife and me two coupons for free Burritos.
Rajiv,Thanks for the good words, and glad you enjoyed your visit! In return for making our day, I’m motivated to hook you up with a free burrito… it happens to me way too often unfortunately! Send me your Boloco Card # (or mailing address if you don’t have one) and i’ll pop one your way… and thanks again!Cheers,John PepperCEO & Co-Founderbuzz@boloco.com
Also, while my article refers to the Boloco restaurant on Federal Street, the picture below and the featured image show the one on Copley Street. The reason is that I lost the photos I took of the restaurant on Federal Street as it was saved on the now defunct Flickr. I just took the picture available on Wikipedia.
