With one afternoon to spare, after our once-in-a-lifetime NASA trip, a cohort and I chose to check out the Orlando area.
Largest McDonalds

We went to the largest McDonalds. Everything was larger. The serving area, the sitting area and the children’s play area. There were a few items on the Menu that were new. We were told it has over a 100 arcade games. However, the point of this eluded me. Thinking about it, it seemed like a tourist trap.

Downtown Disney
Another place we visited was Downtown Disney.(It has been renamed “Disney Springs” since). It is an entertainment complex at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando and was created in 1975.

The Lego Store at the Marketplace, is undoubtedly its main attraction and worth checking out.

The Landing section is a make-believe(in the true Disney Spirit) transporation hub an Marina.

The Empress Lily, formerly a replica of a Streamer Paddleboat is now a restaurant.
Finally, the town center is the area’s make-believe business center. If you have a few hours and looking for things to do in the Orlando area, Disney Springs is a good place to visit and enjoy a lunch or dinner.
