One thing I love about Quincy, MA is its multiculturalism. The city is different from the rest as it has the largest Asian population among all Massachusetts cities.

The deity in this temple is a beautiful statue of Buddha, majestically seated on a lotus

An annual event at this temple is the Vishaka Pooja. Monks from Vietnam, Taiwan, China, Nepal and other parts of the world participate in this event. Each group of monks wears its own color full robes. Asian attendees wear colorful traditional outfits. The organizers are hospitable and welcoming to any and all visitors to the event and offer a free meal. This event holds a special place in my memory.
