With a great premise and a great cast, how can a movie go wrong? It simply does.
Tommy Lee Jones and Ashley Judd star in this mediocre film. First the premise. A person cannot be tried for the same crime twice. If a woman, for instance serves a sentence for killing her husband, and somehow he turns up alive she can’t be tried for the same crime twice.
I apologize if I revealed the end, but the movie’s title beat me to it. Can anyone tell me why the woman does not kill such a man the moment she finds him and prolongs the movie another 15 minutes.
It has typical Hollywood stereotypes too. When she decides to take things in her own hands, the protagonist starts working out(Like De Niro in Cape Fear.)Why?
